CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

YOGA BASICS

For beginners and beyond who want a complete experience of centering, forward bends, back bends, and twists, both standing and floor poses.  Great for students of all ability levels who would like to deepen their understanding of yoga’s foundational poses.

 

INTERMEDIATE

For students who want to take their practice to the next level from the Basics class. Includes moderately advanced poses to balance strength and freedom in body, mind and spirit. Grace, fluidity and joy grow from the inside out.

 

GENTLE YOGA

Appropriate for all students. Using slowly flowing movements and deep breath work, the postures and the internal feelings beneath them yield insight into physical and emotional constrictions, and open the possibility for release.  If you’ve never done yoga before or if you have any health concerns, this is a great class to begin with.

 

YIN YOGA

Using passive stretches, Yin yoga goes into the connective tissues to initiate change at deep levels. Mostly done on the floor, the postures release blocks and open up the energy channels to greater flow.
It’s gentle and suitable for all levels from beginner to experienced. Slowness induces deeper awareness, a great way to reconnect with your spirit within. 

 

VINYASA FLOW

Sync your body movement to the breath as you flow from one pose to the next.

PRIVATE YOGA SESSIONS

An opportunity to explore specific interests, issues, concerns during a one-on-one or group session. Take your practice to a deeper level through this unique experience. In the hands of a 200 hour certified yoga teacher you will be guided in each and every movement of a class of your choice. The teacher’s hands may be in contact with your body as they skillfully make minor and major adjustments to your postures*. Whether seated or standing or in a vinyasa flow you are led with ease. The result — alignment corrections, reduction of stress, extreme sense of well-being, a feeling of peace, breakthroughs in your practice.

CANCELLATION POLICY

24 hours advanced notice. 50% billed for same-day cancellations.

100% Refund for outdoor sessions due to inclement weather.

  

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR SESSION

These simple pointers will help you get started.

  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows a full range of body movements. 

  • Avoid full meals one hour prior to your session. 

  • If you have an injury or condition, please let your teacher know before your session. (See personal history form)

  • Yoga is non-competitive.

  • Relax and have fun!

IF YOU ARE NEW TO YOGA

I want you to know that it’s not about how far you can go in a yoga pose. Come to what feels like just the right amount of stretch in that moment and be happy with where you are. Enjoy the breath. Once your body trusts that you’re not going to pull a fast one, the transformation begins.
